Historical Brussels Warehouses
In 2012 Sara Wermiel spent 5 months in Brussels thanks to the Innoviris grant 'Brains to Brussels' to work on the project 'Creating A typology for warehouses in Brussels and beyond' under the supervision of Ine Wouters and Inge Bertels from the VUB. In December 2012 a studyday on Brussels Warehouses was organized to present the work, discuss the results of international researchers and confront theory with practice. Ine Wouters and Inge Bertels continue the research, while focusing on the city of Brussels and the early developments in the 19th century harbor in the inner city.
