Arno Swyngedouw received a Master of Science in Comparative and International Politics from the KU Leuven (2011-2015, Cum Laude) and a Master of Laws from the University of Ghent (2015-2019, Cum Laude). Throughout his studies, Arno has focused on the study of political diplomacy, the role of international organisations and International public law. He has also completed a traineeship at the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the UN in Geneva supporting the Human Rights section of the delegation during the 39th UN Human Rights Council and an internship at UNHCR Belgium & Luxembourg as a legal trainee.

Arno Swyngedouw is academic assistant. He provides teaching assistance and leads the seminars for the courses Political History of Belgium and Historical and Comparative Introduction to Public Law.

Arno’s research interests include the history of law, international public law and international politic.
