My current research interests involve stereotypes and traits. By means of behavioral experiments and fMRI-methodology I want to compare how conceptually-related constructs like stereotypes and personality traits are processed and used by our brain. Another interest of mine is how stereotypes and similarity interact. Rooted in Ames' similarity-contingency-model I'm investigating whether dissociable neural correlates can be found between stereotypes of groups who are percieved to be more similar to us than others.
