In 2011, I graduated as a master in Chemistry at the University of Hamburg (Germany). My master thesis focused on the synthesis of polypropylene-block-polymers via chain shuttling polymerization, and was written under the supervision of Prof. Gerrit A. Luinstra. From 2011 to 2016, I worked as a research scientist at the Belgian headquarters of the global research department of Huntsman Polyurethanes.
In January 2017, I joined the FYSC department at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel as a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Bruno Van Mele and Prof. Kurt Van Durme. My PhD thesis focuses on the synthesis and (thermal) characterization of UV curable self-healing polymer coatings for the use in bifacial solar panels. This work is a collaboration between Vrije Universiteit Brussel and DSM Advanced Solar and is funded by a Baekeland grant by “Agentschap Innoveren & Ondernemen” (VLAIO).
