Lars De Laet gives lecture at EPFL

Invited by Prof. Vassilopoulos from the Composite Construction Laboratory, Prof. Lars De Laet gave a lecture on February 28 2020 at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Lars presented the research
from the VUB Architectural Engineering research group that aims to contribute to reducing the construction industry's environmental footprint. During his lecture, Lars presented how they work towards these objectives by (amongst other things) focusing on new design methodologies, by developing efficient structural systems and by investigating new biomaterials based on fungi.
