Marylise Parein starts Applied PhD

On February 1, 2021, Marylise Parein joined the department as a PhD student. She was awarded an Applied PhD scholarship by Innoviris, to do research on building materials and heritage value of the Brussels housing stock from 1975-2000. In line with the particular format of an Applied PhD, Marylise will be supervised by a double team of supervisors, from the VUB Architectural Engineering department (Stephanie Van de Voorde and Ine Wouters) and from the Regional Government Administration urban.brussels (Manja Vanhaelen and Stéphane Demeter).
