Sovereign Wealth Funds and the New Global Geography of Finance

Campus: Brussels Humanities, Sciences & Engineering campus
Cosmopolis Guest Lecture Series
Guest lecture

On the 13th of June 2013 Adam Dixon will be giving a Cosmopolis Guest Lecture.

This lecture has two objectives:

  1. to conceptualize the rise and significance of sovereign wealth funds
  2. to consider the growing incidence of large asset owners located on the hinterlands of global finance that are re-taking responsibility of the end-to-end management of their assets, and whether this trend, which we are calling 'frontier finance', represents a 'window of locational opportunity' to remake the map of the investment management industry and how capital is allocated across time and space.
