How to get to 100 - and enjoy it!

Monday, 17 March, 2014 - 10:00 to Monday, 17 March, 2014 - 19:00
Jozef II-straat/Rue Joseph II 79, Brussels

An interactive exhibition takes you on a trip to your future in times of demographic change.

Play “PackMan” for a healthy life-style, take a look at yourself at old age and discover the secrets of longevity. Find out why the risk of dying is the same for newborns and at age 50, why some singles are not really single and why the war between generations is not going to happen. Discover what demographic change means for your own life, with the interactive exhibition “How to get to 100 - and enjoy it”. Using latest iPad-technology it takes you on an entertaining tour through your future in an ageing society. Transformed into computer-games, quizzes, photos, interviews and easy to understand graphs and texts, latest research results are ready for you at your fingertip.

The interactive exhibition “How to get to 100 and enjoy it” is developed by Population Europe, the network of leading demographic research centres of which Interface Demography at the VUB is a partner and presented by the EU Commission’s DG for Employment, Social Affairs & Inclusion. It is available in English, French and German.

Admission is free of charge, but visitors need to register in advance and bring the same ID document you register with in order to borrow the iPad. Groups are very welcome, but should contact the EU Commission by Email: EMPL-DEMOGRAPHY-EXHIBIT-2014@ec.europa.eu.
