Public lecture
Philipp Blom (Hamburg, 1970) is a historian, novelist, and translator. He wrote two novels and several historical works, among which his most recent one, A Wicked Company: The Forgotten Radicalism of the European Enlightenment (2010). Blom also works as a freelance journalist for numerous newspapers, magazines and radio programs in Great Britain, the US, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, and France. Within the context of the Academic Chair 'History and Philosophy of Sciences' Crosstalks has invited Philipp Blom for a public lecture on the influence of Radical Enlightenment on contemporary thinking.
