Technopolitics II: disruptive telecom

Thursday, 25 February, 2016 - 19:00
Campus: Brussels Humanities, Sciences & Engineering campus

Technopolitics IIWhatsapp, Viber, InternetTV… they have shaken up the media and telecom sectors. While disruptive technologies are rapidly dissolving commercial barriers, regulations remain rigid. That is why Els Ampe – alumna and Fellow VUB - founded Technopolitics, a forum to assist in bridging the gap between technology and politics. The second edition of Technopolitics takes place on Thursday 25 February at 19:00.

The second edition focuses on disruptive telecommunications. The four top speakers are:

  • Alexander De Croo, Minister for Digital Affairs and Telecom
  • Martine Tempels (Head B2B Telenet)
  • Professor Pieter Ballon (VUB-SMIT)
  • Pieter Vandekerckhove (CEO Viking Media).

The introduction is by Els Ampe.

The event takes place in Auditorium QA (entrance Nelson Mandela) on Campus Etterbeek, Pleinlaan 2, 1050 Brussels, on Thursday 25 February at 19:00. All presentations will be held in English and a networking drink follows the event.

Please note that admission to Technopolitics is free, but confirmation of attendance is required. Please confirm your attendance by replying to info@elsampe.be
