Intangible heritage: Policy and Practice in China Today

Three lectures on heritage in China, with a special focus on immaterial heritage (a focus of the heritage policy in China today). The lectures will be presented by three renown researchers in their field on Thursday 4 October between 11:00 and 13:00 and between 14:00 and 16:00 at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Pleinlaan 2, 1050 Brussel. The lectures are held in room 5C406.

The lectures can be attended separately. We encourage participants to attend all lectures since it gives an interesting perspective on contemporary heritage preservation policy. The lectures are organised by the VUB Unesco leerstoel voor kritische erfgoedstudies en het borgen van immaterieel cultureel erfgoed, in cooperation with FARO, Vlaams steunpunt voor cultureel erfgoed. The Lectures are also part of an ongoing project of the Confucius Institute at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
