Quote from one of the participants:

"I have just enrolled myself in this program! As a supply chain director I am convinced that a sustainable approach will be the license to operate in the near future. But, how to achieve this? I'm aware thaAndre Ceront I am missing some understanding about the broader picture, and the way the dots are connected, to make the next big leap. So, this bootcamp comes across at the right time! It's an integrated approach, where participants will be submerged into different areas. I expect to learn a lot, and to broaden my view. Also exciting is the mixed group of participants which always is an enrichment. The final spark of enthusiasm is the end of the program, which in fact is a start: how to start yourself :-) !” André Céron, Supply Chain Director Nonfood at Colruyt Group & VUB Solvay Fellow

The Sustainability Bootcamp combines lectures from both academic and operational experts from different disciplines, and will bring you in 4 days at the state of the art in sustainability. Getting inspired for innovation and meeting peers in an open atmosphere at our green campus in Brussels is the ultimate goal of this bootcamp. The combination of academic lectures pointing out the latest knowledge in the field together with professionals sharing their experiences is an unique and enriching concept.

The Bootcamp bundles VUB sustainability expertise into one condensed lecture series during the second week of the Spring holidays. The multidisciplinarity of the experts and renowned lecturers will add an extra dimension to the Bootcamp, necessary to understand the broader picture of this subject. Testimonials by amongst others: Colruyt Group, Engie, Triodos Bank, the European Commission, ...

Because of the interdisciplinarity, the Sustainability Bootcamp appeals to a wide and divers range of potential participants with different backgrounds. One of the main targeted groups will be any company manager or employee who is confronted with sustainability issues in daily work and who is in need of more knowledge with regards to the subject. Additionally, dedicated CSR or sustainability managers, officers and policy officers looking to increase their knowledge are also targetted. Finally, researchers, graduates and students with a specific interest in sustainability are very welcome as well.

The Sustainability Bootcamp consists an introductory session, four thematic modules spread out over the four days and an active closing activity. Check out the full programme and the biographies of the professors and guest speakers.
