The course

The main goal of this course is to raise students from level B1 to level B2 in French.

You will develop your oral language skills and presentation techniques.

You read complex texts about current themes and learn to debate on them in groups. You learn argumentation techniques and expand your vocabulary.

At the end of the course, you will feel capable of following a French discussion in an academic context and interacting where appropriate. The four competencies (listening, speaking, writing and reading skills) are covered as equally possible, with emphasis on speaking skills.
For whom?
This course is intended for those with an average level of French (B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference or CEFR) and wish to develop their (academic) French language skills further.
Enrolment is open to VUB students and staff.

Certificate
Participants who have completed the course successfully will receive a certificate from ACTO stating the level, the number of hours and the final result.
