THE COURSE

‘English for Lecturers’ aims to provide lecturers who teach their courses in English as a second/foreign language with the support to hone advanced language skills and become more effective communicators in undertaking English-medium professional activities. Please note that three separate modules, Grammar & PracticeCommunication for University TeachingVocabulary Expansion are available in the course and they run independently of each other.

Vocabulary Expansion: this module aims to expand lecturers’ vocabulary and practise using the vocabulary across a range of topics that relate to their professional role. It is an upper-intermediate level course in which common collocations and idiomatic expressions are first introduced, and opportunities are then provided for speaking practice. This module runs for 7 weeks, consisting of 20 hours. Please click here to register for the Vocabulary Module by 22 September 2019 at the latest.

Lecturers who are unable to take the course can contact the course instructor to request individual support by appointment through Jianwei.Xu@vub.be

FOR WHOM?
