Calligraphy is an ancient and highly esteemed art form in Chinese society. In this workshop, we explore the logic and beauty of Chinese characters and teach the basic techniques to master the calligraphy brush. No previous knowledge of Mandarin Chinese is required.
WEEKLY WORKSHOP
In a workshop series of 8 sessions of 2 hours each, you learn to recognise, appreciate and produce the forms and flow of Chinese characters. The workshop is organised on the VUB Etterbeek campus on Monday evening. The registration fee is set at 80 EUR and includes calligraphy materials such as paper, ink and brush.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
- A minimum of 5 students is required to start the class. If less then five students enroll for a class, the VUB retains the right to cancel the course for the semesters at any time or postpone until more students enroll.
- Writing materials such as paper and ink are provided by the teacher and are included in the registration fee.
