Public debate

In order to avoid possible health risks fort he speaker(s) and the audience, the organising partners have decided to cancel the lecture and to postpone it to (presumably) November this same year. As soon as the new date has been confirmed,  everybody who has registered will be contacted by e-mail. The organising partners regret this decision due to the possible impact of the Corona virus, but we certainly hope to welcome you at the end of 2020. Meanwhile we would like to express our thanks for your interest in the wonderful work and commitment of dr. Goodall. Do you want to stay informed about Jane Goodall's lecture at VUB? Send an email to secretariaat@humanistischverbond.be.

Jane Goodall is a world famous ethologist who travels the Earth, speaking about the threats facing chimpanzees, environmental crises and her reasons for hope. She began her landmark study of chimpanzees in the wild at the age of 26 in Gombe, Tanzania. Her discovery in 1960 that chimpanzees make and use tools rocked the scientific world and redefined the relationship between humans and animals.
Today, in her books and speeches, she emphasizes the interconnectedness of all living things and the collective power of individual action. Dr. Jane Goodall, PHD, DBE, is founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace.
