Mission Statement
At the end of 2015 the Solvay Business School (VUB) founded the Chair for Social Entrepreneurship. This research chair joins together the academic and corporate world in the search for sustainable business models for social entrepreneurship. The founding partners - Wolters Kluwer Belgium, Euroclear and Close the Gap - support the research into social entrepreneurship. How can innovation continue to be better supported from within society? Which business models work for social entrepreneurs? How do you find financing and how can you as a social entrepreneur guarantee professional management?
Goals
Aside from world-class scientific research the chair wants to create a platform that helps to advance social entrepreneurs. Therefore we wish to provide access to a relevant network for social entrepreneurs and assist them in all ways possible. We wish to realise this through a wide offer of events that bring together social entrepreneurs, corporations and academics in further developing a vibrant network.
