The VUB Charter for researchers (new version coming November 2018) offers a number of guidelines on ethics and integrity. In addition, there are training and info sessions to offer clarity on questions such as:

  • How can I stimulate the members of my team to apply the highest standards of scientific integrity?
  • How can I ensure that my group’s research is ethically sound?
  • Where can I get information on the various ethical committees and on submitting applications?
  • Which legislation is relevant to my research? For example, what are the consequences of the recent introduction of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for handling my data?
