News about international trade

  • VUB's Brussels Diplomatic Academy (BDA) launches three new postgraduate programmes in economic diplomacy. These have an exceptionally large scope: during the course of the programmes, students have the opportunity to stay in three continents.

  • According to a recent study of Accenture, there is a greater shortage of managers with international business skills than engineers. The reason is obvious: doing business in an international environment is complex: companies may face different kinds of obstacles (dealing with a variety of completely different regulatory frameworks, overcoming cultural barriers, managing financial risks, etc.). Hence, companies need their people to master specific sets of skills to succeed in international business.
