Successful first EU-Korea Brussels Policy Forum (BPF)

On 25-26 November 2013, the EU-Korea Institute (EKI) in cooperation with the European Commission successfully organised the first ”EU-Korea Brussels Policy Forum (BPF)”  under the title of “A New Global Agenda for the EU-Korea Partnership: Celebrating 50 years together.” 

With more than 100 participants, the two-day forum touched upon on Cyber Security and Data Protection, Creative Economy and Sustainable Growth, and Northeast Asian Security and Regional Integration.

The European Commission co-financed 2013 forum allowed EKI to welcome high-level speakers from the European Commission, the Korean government, EU-Korean academia, NGOs, UNESCO and the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) among Korea-China-Japan. The outcome of insightful research and timely debates will be published in June 2014.
