VUB alumni nominated for MIT Technology Review 'Innovators Under 35' prize

Two VUB alumni, Catherine De Wolf and Yves Van Ingelgem, are shortlisted for the prestigious MIT Technology Review 'Innovators Under 35' prize. Both studied at the Faculty of Engineering. Catherine as an architectural engineer, Yves as a mechanical and materials engineer.

As the rest of the nominees, they developed technologies which have a concrete and positive influence on the lives of millions of people worldwide.

Catherine, who now persues a doctoral degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is nominated for her research which reduces buildings' environmental impact. Yves founded Zensor, a VUB spin-off which innovated the early detection of corrosion in industrial installations.
