The Brussels Research Centre on Innovation in Learning and Diversity (BILD), promotes interdisciplinary collaboration for educational innovation and change. It works as an eclectic collection of researchers and educators with diverse backgrounds and experience, generating ideas and implementing projects with the potential to transform education.
BILD programs share the common purpose of promoting social inclusion in educational priority areas and implementing innovative learning environments. The research group combines its multidisciplinary expertise on personalised and self-regulated learning; teachers’ professional development; educational technology; arts and cultural education; and management and leadership in order to extend knowledge on change processes in education.
BILD is part of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and hosted within the Department of Educational Sciences (EDWE). The department is research-based and internationally oriented, offering several high-quality educational programs in instructional and educational sciences.
