Give youngsters and children in Brussels the chance to have a better school career thanks to Club Stylo!

Are you a VUB graduate who thinks it is important that everyone gets a fair chance to have a place in our society? Do you think every child and young person has a right to a good education? Would you like to help them achieve this? Then the homework help via Club Stylo is something for you!

Club Stylo is an initiative of the Association of Moroccan Youths of Molenbeek (AJM). As a volunteer at Club Stylo, you give children from the fourth year onwards three evenings a week homework support. This can be in a Dutch-speaking group or a French-speaking group. During these sessions, you stimulate 'learning to learn'. This is important for the children because they learn how to make tasks, process lessons, and apply learning methods. So, you are the much-needed companion for a good school career from an early age! For secondary school pupils, you organise, together with Club Stylo, a study weekend one month before exams, where learning and relaxation are alternated. From the 5th grade onwards, young people can visit the classrooms day and night and choose how they study (alone or in a group). Your homework support is part of a greater whole: AJM actively involves the school and the parents of the children you help in the project and supports them in this as well. In this way, you join forces to support underprivileged children and young people and thus prevent school fatigue. Your guidance ensures that their chances of succeeding increase significantly and that they are better integrated into society. So you make an important difference! Do not hesitate and apply!
