Lecture by the Chinese Special Envoy to Africa

The Brussels Institute of Contemporary China Studies has the pleasure of inviting you to a lecture by Ambassador Zhong Jianhua, the Chinese Special Envoy to Africa, on 13 November 2012. He will present his assessment of the opportunities and challenges in Africa's transition.
Ambassador Zhong is the recently appointed special envoy to Africa and in that function China's key official for African affairs. Before this appointment, Ambassador Zhong served as China's ambassador in South Africa, consul general in Los Angeles, and the negotiator with NATO for reparations after the 1999 bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade. He is a graduate of the Beijing Institute of Foreign Languages.
