This special edition of the Science Bar Brussel is organized in collaboration with the Doctoral Schools of the VUB. Given the topic of the debate and its appeal for PhD students and researchers, the discussions will be held in English.

The debate is followed by an exclusive screening of the PhD Movie, at Cinema RITS. The PhD Movie is the independently-produced live-action adaptation of the online comic strip Piled Higher and Deeper. Filmed on location at the California Institute of Technology, the movie follows four graduate students and their struggles with teaching, love and getting their research to work. A Q&A with the writer of the comic strip and movie, Jorge Cham, will conclude this special edition of the Science Bar.
