Entering the Asian century
Faculteit: Nieuwsbrief
Aula D.005
The twentieth century will be an Asian century. As the economic balance of power shifts to the east, so will Asian countries exert more political influence. But this power shift also coincides with awkward domestic transitions and diplomatic tensions. During this panel discussion, three senior Asian ambassadors will explain how their countries look at the changing strategic landscape in Asia. The meeting takes place on 21 February 2013 in the aula D005 of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
The programme will be as follows:
17h00: Welcome
17h05: Presentations by Apichart Chinwanno, the Ambassador of Thailand; Pham Sanh Chau, the Ambassador of Vietnam; and Kazuyuki Katayama, Minister Counselor of Japan.
18h00: Debate and interaction with the audience
19h00: End of meeting
