Recently, RHEA was awarded a partnership position in a new project, funded by the European Commission’s Daphne Programme. The two-year project focuses on raising knowledge on female genital mutilation in the academia. It is a joined partnership between universities and foundations from Belgium, Spain, Portugal, and Italy.

During this seminar, RHEA coordinator Els Leye will present the aims and activities of the project and highlight the core tasks of RHEA. These include providing expertise in developing a curriculum and organising an international seminar on intersectionality methodologies related to so-called ‘harmful cultural practices’.
