Workshop

This workshop addresses processes of translation and transfer of and with regard to law. In the area of commercial law legal practitioners and merchants interact on legal matters. Papers will tackle the issue of commercial custom and practice, and its transposition into law. Also the topic of impact will be discussed. To what extent was law for its trans-lation dependent from transparant formulations?

The workshop is part of the ERC-funded project AveTransRisk - Transaction Costs and Risk Management During the First Globalization (Sixteenth-Eighteenth Centuries) (Prof. M.
