Redelijk Eigenzinnig / Reason and Engage (VUB)

On Tuesday 13th of February 2018 Redelijk Eigenzinnig / Reason and Engage (VUB) invites Mitch Altman for his lecture <Hacking: rethink technologies in collaboration>. Mitch Altman is a hacker, inventor who did pioneering work in Virtual Reality. He is an author and teacher, and goes around the world giving talks and workshop, promoting hackerspaces, open source hardware. After the lecture, the public can participate in a workshop at the MicroFactory: the Junk Robot Club.

During the workshop, participants will be challenged to create a personalized robot given limited resources (mostly junk) and using the tools present at MicroFactory. After 1h of creative thinking, problem solving and ‘tinkering’, the robots will need to carry out a series of tasks. The team whose robot performs best, wins the challenge. Eager to discover your (hidden) maker talents? Join the Junk Robot Club.

This event takes place at RecyK (Fernand Demetskaai 55, 1070 Brussel). The workshop starts at 8PM. Entrance is free.
