Jef Rombouts awarded doctoral degree

On July 8, 2019, Jef Rombouts successfully defended his PhD "Optimal design of gridshells" and received the title of Doctor in Engineering at KU Leuven and Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Under the supervision of Mattias Schevenels, Geert Lombaert and Lars De Laet, Jef succeeded in combining the advantages of form-finding with numerical optimization techniques.
