January 7, 2021: interuniversity research seminar on CONSTRUCTION HISTORY in Belgium

On Thursday January 7th, an (online) interuniversity research seminar on construction history in Belgium was held. Following fruitful gatherings in Brussels and Antwerp over the past few years, the seminar set out to be a place where research results in the field of Construction History can be discussed, ideas can be shared and new collaborations can emerge. Keeping track of each other and of each other’s research has in fact now become more important than ever.
The full day of presentations was composed of a mid-term Ph.D. presentation (45 min.), several short pitch presentations for starting projects (5 min.) and a selection of more elaborate presentations of advanced research (15 min.). External reviewers prof. Silke Langenberg (ETH Zurich), prof. Bernard Espion (ULB) and prof. Johan Lagae (UGent) were invited to comment on each session. The day closed with a round table, during which the state-of-the-art on Construction History research in Belgium was discussed. The seminar was attended bij 50 researchers. Many thanks to the presenters, reviewers and participants to make this seminar a success!.
