Construction History: Above and Beyond

Over the moon happy! That’s the feeling we had when we heard that our application for an ‘Excellence of Science’ project was approved! Little over a year ago, we came up with the basic idea for this large 4-year research project entitled “Construction History, Above and Beyond. What History Can Do for Construction History”. The goal is to strengthen research in the field of construction history, by establishing cross-disciplinary links with Legal History, Colonial History and Planning History. The project supervisors are affiliated to 3 Belgian universities: Rika Devos (ULB), Stephanie Van de Voorde, Ine Wouters and Dave De ruysscher (VUB), Johan Lagae and Michiel Dehaene (UGent). The team will further be completed by 3 Phd students and 4 post-doctoral researchers.
