Jeroen Poppe obtained a Master in Architecture at KU Leuven, Faculty of Architecture (Ghent) and specialised in sustainable building with a Master en Arquitectura y Sostenibilidad at Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya (Barcelona).
He joined the Flemish Passive House Association Passiefhuis-Platform (www.pixii.be) in 2008 and participated in several research projects about Passive House design and technology. As a consultant he started a support and certification program for local authorities developing non-residential buildings and urban areas to Passive House standards and coached building teams for twenty schools in Flanders. He also teaches Passive house design, technology and simulation as a lecturer at Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya, Barcelona (www.arquitecturaysostenibilidad.com).
Jeroen joined the Transform Research Group in 2017 and works as a researcher on Buildings as Material banks (www.bamb2020.eu) and the Circular Retrofit Lab.
