Travel Instructions

Below are important instructions on how to reach Aneroussa Beach Hotel when traveling from Athens airport.

Time Margins

Allow a maximum of 2.5 hours between landing and the ferry departure. It is only 1 hour if you have no checked luggage.

The last ferry is at 19:15 (Sunday). Please check the schedule on www.openseas.gr (port of departure is Rafina, port of arrival is Andros), in particular when arriving on another date.

From Athens airport

1. Take the taxi to the port of Rafina
  • Location: The taxi stop is indicated in the airport (it is between exit 4 and 5).
    • Lane 1 = regular taxi
    • Lane 2 = Uber (it is a regular taxi but usually a bit cheaper)
  • Cost: 30 - 40 Euro
  • Journey Time: Approximately 25 minutes (if you are in a hurry, the driver can go faster).

Alternative: If you have time enough you can take a bus: when leaving the airport (exit 4 or 5) cross the street and go to the parking (on the right) and find the rental company SIX. The bus stop for the bus to Rafina is there. There is a bus every two hours and the schedule is here.

2. Take the ferry to Andros
  • Ticket Purchase:
    • You will easily find ticket offices at the port. Tickets can be bought up to five minutes before departure. The port is not so very big and there is also a line-up of restaurants/tavernas where you can wait.
    • If you are very risk averse and you are certain about the departure time you can also buy a ticket at www.ferryhopper.com (if you miss the ferry, you will have to buy a new one).
  • Schedules: www.openseas.gr (port of departure is Rafina, port of arrival is Andros)
3. From the Port on Andros to Hotel Aneroussa in Batsi
  • Notification: Once you have bought your flight ticket, please send an email to the hotel (info@aneroussa.gr) and tell them which ferry you intend to take. They will arrange for a driver to pick you up and we cover the cost. Once you are on the ferry it is always a good idea to send them an email or text +30 22820 41045 (between 08:00 and 24:00)
  • Arrival in the port of Andros (Gavrio): When you disembark in Gavrio the driver will wait for you (sign of Hotel Anereoussa).
