Diversity is a fact. VUB also represents a rich mix of religions, backgrounds, nationalities, ages, genders, and abilities. But we are nowhere near as diverse as Brussels itself. Nor does diversity automatically lead to equal opportunities or inclusion. We are making efforts not only to increase diversity in our organisation, but also to make the organisational culture more inclusive. VUB must become a place where the whole of society is represented, everyone has equal opportunities and everyone feels at home and can help decide on the future of the university.
