Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence for Research Purposes
The purpose of these guidelines is to assist researchers in the appropriate use of generative AI in their day-to-day research activities. They are applicable to use of generative AI in research processes. They do not apply to education. The guidelines outline basic criteria that researchers must comply with when using generative AI in research. For certain research purposes, VUB also provides specific instructions on what constitutes appropriate and inappropriate use. Additionally, the guidelines describe the benefits, risks and limitations of generative AI.
