Sara De Vuyst is a Guest Professor at the Department of Communication Studies. She is the Chair of the Gender, Sexuality and Communication Section of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA). Her book ‘Hacking Gender and Technology in Journalism’ is published in the Routledge Disruptions: Studies in Digital Journalism series.

In the Journalism and Media in Europe master, she co-teaches the mandatory course, Political Economy of Journalism in the EU. She also supervises theses on topics related to feminist media studies, affect, sexualities, gender and media (representation, production, audiences), experiences of (ageing) queer women, and technological innovation, gender and intersectionality in journalism.
