A month of plant-based discoveries
Just how delicious and varied can plant-based food be? Find out this November at the VUB Resto on our Etterbeek campus! Together with the GreenTeam, we're organising a range of activities. From a film night and a vegan cooking workshop to special Future Food Days and a visit from the Campus V Campervan. It's the perfect opportunity to explore new flavours and discover your next favourite dish.
What's on the menu?
- 3, 12, 18 and 25 November – Future Food Days
On Future Food Days, every sandwich on the menu at VUB Resto will be vegetarian or vegan. The perfect chance to try something new.
- 3 November – Movie Night: Okja
The GreenTeam is hosting a screening of Okja. This thought-provoking film tells the story of an unlikely friendship between a young girl and a giant animal, raising important questions about the food industry. Everyone is welcome.
- 10 November – GAIA Food Truck
Fancy discovering some new flavours? The GAIA Food Truck is coming to campus with delicious plant-based alternatives. Drop by and taste them for yourself.
- 17 November – Vegan cooking workshop
Want to learn how to whip up delicious plant-based meals? The GreenTeam will show you how at their vegan cooking workshop. Perfect for finding inspiration for your next meal, whether you're cooking in your student accommodation or at home.
- 18 November – The Campus V jury visits VUB!
18 November is V-Day! The Campus V Campervan will be stopping at our campus, accompanied by a professional jury ready to taste and judge the dishes prepared by our restaurant chefs.
You're invited to join the tasting and cheer on our chefs. How about trying some Swedish-style meatballs or a Haute Dog? You can also enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Alpro breakfast bar.

Taste and win: your lunch could be worth gold!
What if your next sandwich could win you free lunches for the rest of the academic year? Throughout November, the Campus V Cup brings tasty prizes to the VUB Resto. Think golden tickets, surprise scratch cards and plenty of chances to win!
1. Golden Ticket: win free sandwiches for the rest of the academic year
Order a veggie or vegan sandwich from the VUB cafeteria in November and you might find a Golden Ticket hidden in your sandwich bag.
- Every day: two Golden Tickets hidden in sandwich bags, with 40 tickets in total.
- Found one? Fill it in and hand it back to the cafeteria.
- The prize: a chance to win free sandwiches for the rest of the academic year!
On 1 December, one lucky winner will be drawn from all submitted Golden Tickets.
2. Scratch & Win: a free muffin or meal
Fancy something warm? Order the Vegan Bolo Resto, the VUB Restaurant's delicious vegan spaghetti, in November and receive a free scratch card.

Will you help VUB claim the title of Belgium's Best Veggie Campus? Throughout November, you can scan the official QR code to share your feedback with our chefs and help VUB compete for the title. Everyone can take part: students and staff alike. Whether you prefer plant-based meals, eat meat or fish, or haven't even visited the restaurant that day. Your opinion counts!
