The Cybele Fund strives to be the reference within Belgium for reliable, science-based information on drug use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Internationally, we want to position ourselves as a leading multilingual knowledge center working with European partners to promote the health of (future) mothers, fathers and children. For a lasting impact on both healthcare providers and the general public.
Activities of the fund
Cybele provides accessible and up-to-date information on drug use during pregnancy and lactation to support caregivers and families in making informed choices.
- Research: Conducting cutting-edge scientific research, such as bioanalytical methods, epidemiological studies and PBPK models, in collaboration with European partners.
- Education: Promoting knowledge transfer by providing lectures, seminars and training for students and professionals within the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel as well as at the request of other providers.
- Social services: Providing a freely accessible website and a personal advisory service for healthcare providers, including a bilingual consultation system and a subscription option for specific advice.
