Everyone is welcome at the VUB sports complex, not only students or staff of the VUB.
In order to avoid misunderstandings, we would appreciate it if you would read the following information before purchasing a sports card and/or punch (or sticker for EHB students).
We make a distinction between VUB students and staff, VUB alumni, EHB students and staff, EHB alumni, other students and all others. Then you have to decide for yourself what exactly it is you want to do with us?
Do you want to use or rent sports facilities (e.g., swimming during public hours, running on the track, or renting a squash room or sports hall, …)? Then you need a sports card and you are welcome at our reception to charge the card for the services you want from us. A card is valid for 5 academic years after purchase.
Do you want to take part in our Sportmix activities? In that case, you'll need the sports card, with a “sports punch” for VUB members (students, staff, and alumni), EHB members (staff and alumni), and “other students.” For EHB students: if this is the only thing you want to do with us, you need a sports sticker you can stick to your student card. A punch or sticker is valid during the current academic year.
Are you a student at Odisee/LUCA/KUL in Brussels? If so, you’re also welcome at the VUB to participate in the SportMix. For the first 40 to 50 students from each institution, your school will cover the difference between the standard price and the discounted rate for VUB students. You can also add swimming and running sessions to your sports card or rent our sports halls.
Do you already have a sports card? Then you can go to the reception of VUB Sports in the entrance hall of the VUB Sports Complex on the Main Campus of the VUB in Ixelles/Etterbeek for further assistance. You can also order and pay for the sports punch online... and have it added to your card the next time you take part in an activity by the trainer or, in Elsene/Etterbeek, at the reception desk on presentation of your card and an e-mail confirming payment.
Attention: payments at the VUB sports reception are only possible with Maestro or a Belgian bank card. If you don't have such a card, you can pay in cash.
Don't have a sports card yet? Then you can buy one online here. Do you want to participate in the mix at the same time? Then order the sports card and sports punch together in one purchase. Attention: EHB Students: if you only want to participate in the sports mix, a sports sticker is enough to stick on your student card.

Drop by our reception desk for more information about taking part.
