the need for globally minded professionals in the field of oceans and lakes. The Oceans & Lakes programme aims to attract and train these globally minded students and professionals. From your fellow students coming from around the world, you will gain different perspectives.. Through the contacts with your peers, but also through the network of the Oceans & Lakes programme, and the ICP programme (with partners in the Global South), you gain access to a national and international network. This will help you build your professional path in Belgium or abroad.

What professions will it allow you to enter?

Upon graduating from our master programme, there are many different jobs and sectors your may end up in. You can go on to do research on a specific marine or lacustrine related topic. Or what about becoming a teacher? You can also work for an NGO, or a governmental organization. Going into the private field or the industry is also an option. Some jobs our graduates are involved in are for example conservationist, consultant, project manager, fisheries policy officer, biodiversity expert, environmental manager, etc. The list is long..
