The Brussels School of Governance (BSoG) organises Brussels for Diplomats, a two-day executive programme on Monday 9 November and Tuesday 10 November 2026 offering diplomats fresh perspectives on the European political and institutional landscape. It is tailor-made for, and aimed at diplomats as well as professionals working in or with the Brussels diplomatic community. Bringing together leading academics, former ambassadors and senior policymakers, the programme provides participants with key insights into the history and functioning of the European Union, the role and structure of the European Commission, the dynamics of the European Council and the member states, and the workings of the European Parliament, including political parties, lobbying, and access to the institution.
In addition, participants explore the role of European media and gain an overview of Belgium’s history and political system, providing essential context for diplomats working with EU institutions.
This programme is organised by the Brussels School of Governance (VUB).
