About the chair
The chair of the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy wants to conduct independent, scientific research into the effectiveness of osteopathy. Despite the enormous increase in scientific articles in the last 10 years in the field of osteopathy, it is still insufficiently clear what the added value of osteopathy is in the care of patients with musculoskeletal or non-musculoskeletal disorders. The aim of this chair is therefore to address these uncertainties.
From the results of the research, the VUB hopes to be able to make recommendations about the application of osteopathic interventions for (non-)muscular skeletal disorders.
