ITACE for lecturers - 05/02/2026

The Interuniversity Test of Academic English (ITACE) for Lecturers is a test of proficiency in English for academic purposes. It was specifically developed by members of the Interuniversity Testing Consortium (IUTC) for professors and lecturers who use English for teaching and/or research purposes. Participants can obtain a C1 certificate that is accepted by the Flemish Ministry of Education and all partner universities.

Test schedule

• 9:00 reception
• 9:15 to 12:30 computer-based test and the writing test
• 1pm oral test

Detailed information about the schedule and the specific location will be communicated by email one week prior to the test date.

Test fee

1. IUTC staff members from any of the four universities - Ghent, KULeuven, UAntwerp and VUB: €185
2. Non-IUTC members, e.g. staff members of other universities and other institutions of higher education: €220

Registration

To register for the test on the preferred date, please complete our registration form below and pay the fee online before the deadline. If we do not receive your payment before the test deadline, your registration will be considered incomplete and you will not be admitted to the test.

Please note: once the maximum number of participants is reached, the registration form will be closed. This may happen before the final deadline as mentioned above.
