During the FTI Festival, you’ll discover the limitless possibilities of photonics—the technology of light—and tour the state-of-the-art laboratories at the VUB Photonics Innovation Center. Our researchers will take you behind the scenes and provide clear explanations of the high-tech equipment they use. You’ll also see inspiring examples of applications across a wide range of fields.
Curious about where infrared cameras are used? Or what’s the latest on fiber technology and LEDs? Do you wonder how the tiny lenses in smartphones are made? Or do you want to see the technology used to create the mirrors of the Einstein Telescope? You’ll find out all of this during this unique visit.
