Everyone is welcome at the VUB sports complex, not only students or personnel of the VUB.
In order to avoid misunderstandings, we would appreciate it if you would read the following information before purchasing a sports card and/or punch (or sticker for EHB students or staff).
We make a distinction between VUB students and staff, VUB alumni, EHB students and staff, EHB alumni and all "Others". Then you have to decide for yourself what exactly it is you want to do with us?
Do you want to use or rent sports facilities (e.g. swimming during public hours, running on the track, renting a squash room or tennis court, ...)? Then you need a sports card and you are welcome at our reception to charge the card for the services you want from us. A card is valid for 5 academic years after purchase.
Do you want to take part in our Sportmix activities? Then you need the sports card with a "sports punch” as a VUB student or other. For EHB students and staff: if this is the only thing you want to do with us, you need a sports sticker you can stick to your student card or staff card. A punch or sticker is valid during the current academic year.
Do you already have a sports card? Then you can go to the reception of VUB Sports in the entrance hall of the VUB Sports Complex on the Main Campus of the VUB in Ixelles/Etterbeek for further assistance. You can also order and pay for the sports card online... and have it added to your card the next time you take part in an activity by the trainer or, in Elsene/Etterbeek, at the reception desk on presentation of your card and an e-mail confirming payment.
Attention: payments at the VUB sports reception are only possible with Maestro or a Belgian bank card. If you don't have such a card, you can pay in cash.
Don't have a sports card yet? Then you can buy one online here. Do you want to participate in the mix at the same time? Then order the card and sports stick together in one purchase. Attention: EHB Students and staff: if you only want to participate in the sports mix, a sports sticker is enough to stick on your student or staff card.

SECOND SEMESTER OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR = 50% DISCOUNT ON SPORTS PUNCH AND STICKER
* Basic Fit members enjoy alumni rates for sports mix and the pool.
** EHB students, staff and/or alumni who, besides participating in the mix, also want to enjoy other services at VUB sport still have to buy a sports card (which can be used for e.g.g running or swimming).
*** All others are welcome to participate in the Sports mix, but limited to the activities we provide with our own sports ambassadors. For the activities in the mix that we do in cooperation with clubs, you as a non-VUB or EHB member should register directly with the club.
Caution: “Look before you leap” … online purchases of cards, tickets or stickers are binding and non-refundable.
