International collaborations
In 2019, we had no less than 400 agreements in place with over 260 partner institutions specifically for student exchange. In addition, we had 180 bilateral agreements (Memorandum of Understanding) in place with some 145 partners.
We support international relationships from bottom-up initiatives within the academic community, but also build institutional partnerships with leading like-minded institutions. Our relationship with each partner is unique but will always fit into one, more or all of the three levels of the VUB mission: education, research and social engagement.
