The first-ever VUB Summer Party got off to a flying start, bringing around 2,500 colleagues to the VUB Main Campus. Replacing the annual staff barbecue, the new festival format offered an afternoon of live music, street food and plenty of opportunities to catch up with colleagues from across the university.
With temperatures climbing to 35°C, extra shade, free drinking water and cooling stations helped keep everyone comfortable throughout the event. The line-up featured a performance by the Belpop Band and a DJ set, while the relaxed festival atmosphere encouraged colleagues to meet, reconnect and unwind together.
