Amnesty International is organising a wake in front of the European Parliament on Place Luxembourg in Brussels on Wednesday 26 April. That day marks exactly seven years since Ahmadreza Djalali was detained in Iran during a working visit; he has not seen his family since.

Vida Mehrannia - Ahmadreza's wife - is visiting Brussels and personally invites everyone to this solidarity vigil in the centre of Europe. In recent years, she could count on the support of thousands of people in Belgium in the fight for her husband's release. Once again, she is counting on our help.

We will continue to campaign against his arrest, the manifestly unfair trial and death sentence in Iran. We will continue until Ahmadreza is released and reunited with his family in Stockholm. Feel free to bring your own candles and write your solidarity message on the spot for Ahmadreza, Vida and their children.
