How does it work?
- Download the Naviki app and register
- Go to “Competitions” in the app and select ABC 2026
- Then choose “Vrije Universiteit Brussel” as your institution
- Start cycling! You can also create your own team within VUB (e.g., by department, student association, group of friends, etc.)
What is the ABC?🚴
The ABC is an international cycling competition between universities worldwide. Students and staff pedal together for the honour of their university—and for their own health and enjoyment. Every ride counts: whether it’s commuting to campus or cycling in your free time!
Why take part?
By logging your kilometres, you support three goals:
- Health: more movement and energy in your daily routine
- Climate: less CO₂ emissions and fresher air
- Mobility: a smoother, more liveable city
And there’s more: you could win a group cycling tour of Brussels with Pro Velo. The more kilometres you cycle, the greater your chances of winning!

- Indoor cycling
- Bike pump action
- Bike registration
- 🛠️ 07/10: Bicycle mechanics training
- 🚲 14/10: ‘Giveaway market for abandoned bikes and bike parts’
- 🔧 19/10: Bike repair session @ Campus Jette
- 🔧 20/10: Bike repair session @ Campus Etterbeek
- 🌍 30/10: Participation in Critical Mass Brussels (Green Team)
- 🥐 4/11: Free breakfast for all participants Esplanade @ campus Etterbeek
